As a parent of an autistic child, one of the greatest joys I've discovered is the transformative power of nature. The vast, open spaces, the soothing sounds of rustling leaves, and the breathtaking beauty of the natural world have a unique way of calming and inspiring my child. Exploring nature has become a cherished pastime for us, not just for the adventure it offers but also for the therapeutic benefits it provides.
Here, I want to share some of the incredible outdoor destinations that are ideal for families with autistic children. These places have not only welcomed us with open arms but have also provided sensory-rich, calming, and captivating experiences for my child:
